The newly finished guitar just a few days old:
The body was made from Swamp Ash. The neck from myrtle with a rosewood fretboard. The head has bird eye maple laminated to the front face. The guitar is heavy but the sustain and tone is amazing. Due to the extra long neck I had to purchase the strings from America.
The custom pickups made for the new multi-scale bass. Each has 9,000 windings and 10 neodymium magnet potted in wax. I couldn’t be happier with how they sound. The windings and magnets were orientated so that when wired together they work as hum bucking pickups which work perfectly.
An old favourite.
Previously the bass I enjoyed play the most was an old, very heavy, 4 string Peavey bass. It also had great sustain but sadly only 4 string. This was used on most recordings and events for many years.
